Random Sampling: Le Cendrillon ash ripened goat cheese
Nice and rich but not too “goat-y”. Made by La Maison Alexis de Portneuf, PQ. Winner of a World Cheese awards held in the Canary Islands for Best Cheese in the World. (Thanks Peter for the info!)

Random Sampling: Takoyaki at Osa Tako Hero
Really good and intently crafted takoyaki. Best octopus balls I have had here in Vancouver. Fresh tasting katsuoboshi makes a difference. Thumbs up!

Random Sampling: Salty Egg Yolk Bun at Sea Harbour
Suck as you bite in to extract the rich eggy payload. Worthy of a second helping.

Random Sampling: Ginger Green Onion Sea Cucumber at Sea Harbour
Great texture. Local sea cucumber. Great dish.

Random Sampling: Squab at Sea Harbour
Despite having a different supplier this year, the squab still rocks.

Random Sampling: Korean style Tonkatsu at H-Mart Foodcourt
Not a bad rendition from E-mo. Thin and crispy breading. Sweet and tangy Worcestershire style Bulldog sauce topping. This foodcourt stall always surprises. Worth the walk from Yaletown.

Random Sampling: the doufunoar at OTray.
Soft, silky, house made tofu in a savory bean sauce. Loveliness.

Random Sampling: the roujiamo at O’Tray foodcourt stall
Great braised pork filling in a house made skillet bun. Tender cubes of pork in a cumin infused braise.

Random Sampling: The jian bing at OTray.
At one of my favourite foodcourt stalls. Ordering the “crepe”.
